Primera semana en la tierra de las nueces. Ha sido una semana intensa en todos los sentidos. Ya estoy casi acomodado en esta tierra que me ha dado una cálida bienvenida.
Cuando a uno le hablan de se le vienen muchas ideas a la cabeza: playa, biquinis y famosos. Por eso antes de continuar os aviso que (por ahora) no encontrareis nada de esto en este blog.
La llegada a esta tierra fue un lunes con nocturnidad y alevosía. Tras cerca de 24 horas viajando, los sentidos comienzan a anularse, te has visto todas las películas y el tío que tienes al lado en el avión te empieza a caer mal sin que te haya hecho nada en absoluto: lo unico que te apetece es pillar una cama y dormir hasta que le salgan cardenales.
A pesar de que ha pasado una semana esas ganas de atacar la cama siguen manteniéndose. Aquí el ritmo de vida durante la semana es frenético: no hay hora del desayuno con tostadas de tomate, y a la hora de comer no hay ni café ni copa ni puro. Gracias a Dios, somos españoles y haciendo honor a eso logramos escaquearnos como nadie más sabe en este mundo. Quizás no tendremos la mejor tecnología, pero a satisfacer nuestro alma concupiscible y nuestros instintos hedonistas no nos gana nadie. Respecto a la pregunta que todos haréis al leer esto: no, por ahora no he engordado, y eso es en parte a que no he comido mucha comida basura. Tengo pensado un experimiento, que es pesarme a la vuelta y compararlo con el peso que tuve al irme: a ver que pasa...
En otro orden de cosas, ya dispongo de apartamento. Se encuentra situado en California Street, Palo Alto. Podríamos decir que sería como vivir en la Plaza de España en cualquier pueblo de España, con la diferencia de que está situado en la típica calle americana residencial. Si habeis visto la serie Me llamo Earl, podréis haceros una idea del tipo de apartamento que es.
Son las 22h de la noche y después de 12 horas me encuentro en la oficina escuchando a Los Delinqüentes. Por aquí hay gente trabajando aún. Si estuviera en España, ahora nos tomaríamos una cerveza, pero como no es el caso nos iremos a dormir y mañana será otro día.
